I attended the University of Texas and graduated last year with English and Art History degrees with a minor in French. I always wanted to write but have lost the correct forum to do so and manage to eek out some very mediocre writings these days. Hopefully one day I will get over this and do creative writing for graduate school.
I will be teaching English in France in the fall in the Lyon area. I also want to be a jazz singer and an ironic painter sometimes.
Main writing issue(s): Uber-conciseness, so I'd like to have help expanding my ideas and fleshing them out and also adding some humor and readability to my poems.
My main themes are typically: religion, death, biological metaphors (always), water, sex/relationships, places (travel).
Why I'm not writing?: It's hard. Really, it used to come very easily and now I need discipline and deadlines to get anything done. If anyone wants to give me such deadlines it would actually be very much appreciated. I am bad at self-motivation. Also, I don't feel that nebulous "inspiration" I used to but am theorizing that this is a result of not writing, not the other way around.
